About Margot…

Bonjour!

I’m Margot, a French (and now American) photographer based in California, drawn to honest moments, beautiful light, and the poetry of love stories.

I grew up near Paris and studied art history at the Sorbonne before moving to London, where I worked in an art gallery surrounded by artists, painters, and collectors.
Those years shaped how I look at the world — with attention to light, balance, and the emotional weight of a moment.

Photography became a natural extension of that way of seeing. Today I photograph weddings with the same sensibility: attentive, artful, and deeply human.

Weddings carry a beautiful intensity. My role is to move through that energy with ease — observing, anticipating, and guiding when needed so everything feels natural and unforced. You remain present with your people while I shape the visual story quietly around you.

Outside of weddings, you will usually find me exploring nature, practicing yoga, traveling with my husband (I was solo backpacking through Southeast Asia when I met him—proof that love at first sight and love that grows over time can both be magical) and our son, or attempting increasingly ambitious ceramic projects in the studio.

I met my husband while backpacking through Southeast Asia — proof that the most meaningful stories often begin unexpectedly. Life is full of small adventures, and that curiosity continues to shape how I photograph the world.

Whether you’re eloping beneath the desert sky in Joshua Tree, celebrating in one of Los Angeles’ iconic venues, saying I do in the city of light (Paris) or exchanging vows by the ocean, I photograph the day as it naturally unfolds — with care, attention, and artistry.

My approach is rooted in honest moments: laughter shared with friends, quiet embraces, the energy of the celebration. When the moment calls for it, I offer gentle guidance to create portraits that feel effortless, natural, and quietly editorial. The result is a gallery that feels deeply personal — refined, emotional, and unmistakably yours.

  • Around Long Beach: on my black electric bike — yes, with a French flag.

  • On the mat: yoga, mispronounced pose names, and an elite-level Shavasana.

  • In the kitchen: jackfruit curry with a French twist… plus baguette, évidemment.

  • On date night: concerts, great food, movie debates — and my husband’s DJ company Good Mood keeps the party impeccable.
