Bonjour!

I’m Margot, a French (and now American) photographer based in California, drawn to honest moments, beautiful light, and the little details that make people and their stories unique.

I grew up near Paris and studied art history at the Sorbonne before moving to London, where I worked in an art gallery surrounded by artists, painters, and collectors. Those years shaped how I look at the world — with attention to light, balance, and the emotional weight of a moment.

Photography became a natural extension of that way of seeing. Today, I photograph families, portraits, headshots and small events with the same sensibility: attentive, artful, and deeply human.

Whether I’m photographing a family as it grows, creating portraits that actually feel like the person in front of my camera, or documenting a birthday, baby shower, workshop or company celebration, I’m always looking for what feels real. The gestures, expressions, personalities and unexpected moments that you couldn’t plan if you tried.

My role is to make being photographed feel easy. I’ll guide when it helps, step back when something is already happening, and pay attention to all the things in between. I want you to enjoy your family, your people, your celebration — and trust that I’m quietly making something beautiful out of it.

Outside of photography, you’ll usually find me exploring nature, practicing yoga, traveling with my husband and our son, or attempting increasingly ambitious ceramic projects in the studio.

I met my husband while solo backpacking through Southeast Asia — proof that some of the best things in life happen when you weren’t planning for them at all. That sense of curiosity, connection and adventure continues to shape the way I photograph the world.
